spoiled

As you may or may not know, we have a new princess in the house. She is spoiled by friends and family and feels so lucky to be treated so well by so many different people.

No, the new princess is not Monet. It is me!! I can not believe how spoiled I have been. With dinners and phone calls and well wishes and beautiful dresses and flowers and treats and offers to watch my boys and even my own personal chauffeur one afternoon....... I want to thank everyone who has made having child #3 much less demanding than it could have been otherwise. (Not that its a walk in the park, but at least I am not lost in the jungle).

And to top it all off, as I was getting dressed for church this morning, Levi looked at me and said, "Mom, you are a princess!!" Maybe I should get out of the housecoat more often.

levi's post

I want to type. I am gonna type a lot of things. I'm gonna type a funny word. Can I type a funny word? Can I do it? Can I do it? Hey, that says it! Mom, is this a sideways 'I"? Did it fall down? Why did Jesus give us a computer and then Daddy got another computer? Can I write a word that says wdnfgknfakjlkjalk? (laughter)

and the winner is....

Anonymous!! (aka my mother)

Welcome to the world Monet Elise Stone!

Details:
Sunday night I was feeling a few light contractions every hour. By 3 am they were every 4 min, but still not very painful. We went to the hospital anyway just cause my doctor told me to get there early. By 12 noon they were hurting more (a lot more), but now they were 8 min apart. I was still only 4 cm or so. Blah!
At 2:30 pm I was 6 cm and they finally sent me over to delivery. Yeah! My baby was coming. I remember getting a little emotional when we got into the delivery room, knowing that this was the last stop before baby arrived. I wanted an epidural, and was told I was number 3 on the list to get the magic. One agonizing hour later, as the contractions went from bad to worse, the anasthesiologist finally came to the room. He was in a hurry and said that I needed to get ready right away cause he was needed in the OR. So, I sat up, had one more contraction, screamed like a banshee and the baby was out! No drugs, no doctor, no nurse with gloves on. Just like that. It was scary. I had no idea what was going on. Josh says he felt bad cause I was screaming "The baby is coming!! That's the head!" But nobody believed me. Who takes 12 hours to get to 6cm, and then 1 hour to get to 10cm?? Not to mention one minute to deliver the baby. They certainly weren't expecting it. Luckily the nurse there was quick to get Monet's cord clipped and her cleaned off and everything. Ahhhh, the adventures....
We are both doing well and are at home. Josh's mom and sister are being a huge help and I am so glad they are both here.

am I ready?

Today after my doctor's appt I decided to stop by the local elementary school and check out their kindergarten. I have not been able to decide what I would like to do. Levi is a November baby, and could start this year or next year. Seeing the classroom made me real excited for Levi. They have all these fun play centers that he would just LOVE. After talking to the kindergarten teacher, who seems really nice and experienced, I decided to register Levi. Even though its done, I can still decide over the summer if I want him to stay home for another year or not. Is it Levi who won't be ready, or is it me??

take a guess

It is late Saturday afternoon and I am feeling fine. Grumpy, tired, always hungry, but not sore in the tummy.....
Should be a few days yet.

I want to know what you think. Baby boy or baby girl? How much will the little one weigh? When is the birthday gonna be?
Take a guess!! Whoever is closest wins a prize.

Levi at 1 month. (I don't have digital pics of him as a newborn- we are that old!!)

the good, the bad and the ugly

Here is a sneak peak of what the kitchen looks like. This is pretty good. The tile is up but not grouted yet in this picture. Please notice the new hardware on the doors. Other good news is that Enoch does not need glasses, as of yet. He is just expected to go slightly crossed eyed when tired. Apparently thats OK????

The bad is that it is freezing here. It warmed up for a couple days, which days Enoch chose to get a mild fever. Thanks bud, our only chance to get outside....

Now for the ugly: these photos are results of having actually cleaned out the baby room. (Yeah! - you would think that was good, right??). Its just too bad the boys managed to completely wreck the rest of the house while I focused on one room.

Oh! Another good, I filed my taxes!!
